Celia Pearl Roe Inscho Obituary
Added: Jan 14, 2018Celia Pearl Inscho died of heart failure Monday, July 18, 1983 at S.& S. Hospital in Penn Yan, New York at the age of 87.
She was born on November 3, 1895 to William and Emma May (Green) Roe. Her childhood years were spent on the Roe family farm in Sullivanville, Chemung County, N.Y. She graduated from Horseheads High School and later from Teacher's Normal School. She taught in the Horseheads area before her marriage to Kenneth Inscho moving to the Town of Starkey in Yates County in 1918.
She and Kenneth managed and operated a fruit farm while raising nine children. At the time of her death she was survived by her children: Vivian Inscho Keesey of Painted Post, N.Y., Verna Inscho Smith of Dundee, Clarence (Sonny) Inscho of Santa Rosa,California, Robert Inscho of Dallas, Texas, Marilyn Inscho Benedict of Dundee, Harold Inscho of Penn Yan, June Inscho Dodsworth of Rochester, Martin Inscho of Dundee and Barbara Inscho Cadwell of Dundee; one brother, Clarence Roe of Horseheads and 28 grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Pennington Funeral Home in Dundee with burial in the Bradford Cemetery in Bradford.
