A Sad 1881

Added: Feb 02, 2017
Losing a child is a tough pill for any parent to swallow. Though it was a more prominent occurrence 100-150 years ago, I'm sure it didn't make it any easier. the Ball family endured horrible loss in April of 1881 with the passing of three children. The cause was scarlet fever, which is usually caused by strep throat and is easily treatable with antibiotics today.
It is hard to imagine the sadness and how the family managed through such a terrible month.
