Pieter Janse Van Blarcom

Pieter Janse Van Blarcom was born in Bergen and baptized May 6, 1665.

He first married Elizabeth Symons "van Uythyse" on June 22, 1685, in Bergen. Pieter and Elizabeth had one daughter, Anntje.
Pieter then married Jacomyntje Cornelis, daughter of Conelis Mattyssen and Barentje Dircks "va Meppel." Jacomyntje was likely born in the Harlem section of Manhattan. Pieter and Jacomyntje went on to have 12 children; Catharine/Tryntje (m. Myndert Le Fevre), Rachel (m. Abraham Van Seyl), Barentje (m. Abraham Morgan), Margrietje (m. John Wilson), John, Marytje, Cornelis, Elizabeth, Sarah, Gerrit, Jacomyntje and Willemtje.
Finally, Pieter married Antje Meyers on November 17, 1719, in Hackensack, NJ and had one son, Harmen.

In 1740, Pieter Van Blarcom built "The Van Blarcom" house in Wyckoff, NJ. When he passed, his estate was administered in Essex County. John Van Blarcom, Pieter's eldest son, was appointed administrator of his estate on March 31, 1749. The Van Blarcom house still stands on Godwin Avenue in Wyckoff, NJ, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983.

Pieter died March 31, 1749. His burial is currently unknown.
