Edward Vivian Ball

Edward Vivian Ball was the second child born to William Henry Ball and Nellie Ray Kimble Ball. Edward was raised in Hardyston, and later Franklin, New Jersey and only completed school to the 5th grade.

On January 16, 1927, Edward married Helen E Christian, daughter of John Henry Christian and Minerva N Newell Christian of Hardyston. Edward and Helen had two children; Shirley Vivian and William. At some point Edward's first marriage dissolved and he married second Betty Jane Talmadge Hensley, daughter of Edward Hensley and Christina Jeanette Enright Kelly. Edward and Betty had one daughter, Trudy Anne.

Edward served as a Corporal in the US Army during World War II. He also spent some time working in the Franklin Furnace Zinc mines and as a private Blacksmith, like his brother Ralph.

Edward Vivian Ball died in 1978 and is buried with his wife at North Hardyston Cemetery in Hamburg, Sussex, New Jersey.
