Glenn Walter Roe

Glenn Walter Roe was born in 1896, son of Walter Arlington Roe and Edith Irene Cogswell Roe.

On May 28, 1915, Glenn married Mary Marie Morse, daughter of Charles Morse and Ida Mathews Morse. The two had six children; Edith Irene (1917-1998), Walter Glenn (1918-1988), Warren T (1919-2012), Wesley George (1920-1978), Ernestine E (1925-2013), and Beatrice Mae (1927-2002).

According to the 1920 census, Glenn worked as a machinist.

There seems to have been some family unrest in the late 1920s. It looks like Glenn and his wife may have divorced, and the children were placed in foster home situations. In 1930, the three boys were living at Southern Tier Children's Home and their youngest sister was living with their aunt Hazel Roe Carmon. Just judging by public documents, it is hard to say what exactly happened.

Glenn Walter Roe died in 1956 and is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
