Sheldon Ford Roe

Sheldon Ford Roe born in 1893 was son of Ford A Roe and Cora A Wickham.

On May 21, 1920, Sheldon married Florence Knapp, daughter of F.F. Knapp and Lizzie Calhoun of Laurenceville, Pennsylvania. Sheldon and Florence had toe children, born in New York.

At the time of his marriage, Sheldon was working as a clerk after having served with the Army during World War I. Sheldon was inducted in Erie, Pennsylvania on October 2, 1917 and was discharged as a Sergeant on August 25, 1918. Sheldon eventually finished 4 years of college and became a lawyer.

Though probably too old to serve, Sheldon registered for the World War II at the age of 49.

Sheldon died in Florida in 1981 and is buried with his wife at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, Chemung, New York.
