Johannes Janse Van Blarcom

Johannes Janse Van Blarcom was baptized November 3, 1667 son of Jan Lubbertsen Van Blarcom and Madelena Theunis Van Blarcom.

On July 16 1693, Johannes married Metje Jans Springsteen, daughter of Jan Casperse Springsteen and Maria Theunis Springsteen of Midwout (Flatbush, Brooklyn today). Johannes and Metje had seven children; Elena (m. Johannes Van Seyl), Johannes (m. Jannetje Van Seyl), Marytje (1698, m. Arie Abramse Ackerman), Tryntje (m. Dirck Van Seyl), Jannetje (1702, m. Enoch Vreeland), Pieter (1705, m. Rachel Van Seyl), and Lea (m. Hendricus Bosch).
Johannes lost his first wife in 1706 and married second Elizabeth Springsteen on September 23, 1709, in Tappan, New York. There is no record of children from his second marriage.¹

Johannes died before November 3, 1713 when his second wife was remarried. No additional documentation is currently available.
