Mary Thompson Van Blarcom

Mary Thompson was daughter of Dr Alexander Hamilton Thompson (1805-1840) and Rachel Everitt Thompson (1809-1895). Dr Thompson was a graduate of Princeton College in 1824 and received his medical degree from the Medical School at the University of Pennsylvania.
On December 7, 1857 Mary first married James W Cummins in Warren, New Jersey, and they had three children; Mary L (1837), Anne F (1861-1921) and James Hamilton (1863-1919). James W died in 1863 and Mary moved in with her mother, Rachel.
On 17 Aug 1871, Mary married Lewis Van Blarcom, son of William Van Blarcom and Catharine A Sutton Van Blarcom, and they had three children. Mary would be a widow a second time when Lewis passed in 1904.
Mary was last listed in the 1910 census as living in Newton with her daughter Kate and son Lewis. She passed in 1916 and is buried with her husband in a large Van Blarcom plot in Newton Cemetery, Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey.
