Lewis Monroe Van Blarcom

Lewis Monroe Van Blarcom was the only child born to Garret and Sarah Elizabeth Monroe Van Blarcom. He lived with his parents and maternal grandparents through 1880.
In 1892, Lewis married Lida J Fort, daughter of Jacob P and Margaret Force and great granddaughter of John Fort (1745-1811) who served in the New Jersey militia as a minute man. Lewis and Lida had three daughters; Helen D (1893), Margaret Louise (1895), and Janice Howe (1905).
Lewis worked as an undertaker and ran his own business in Belvidere, Warren, New Jersey up until his death.
In 1931 Lewis died of a coronary embolism. He was also suffering from colon cancer. He is buried on a large Van Blarcom plot with his wife at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, Warren County, New Jersey.
