Sarah Elizabeth Monroe was daughter of David and Lavina Monroe.
In the early 1860's she married Garret Van Blarcom, son of William and Catherine A Sutton Van Blarcom. They had one son, Lewis Monroe Van Blarcom, who was born on December 10, 1863.
Sarah, her husband and son all lived with her parents through the 1880s.
Sarah Elizabeth died in 1900 and is buried with her husband at Lafayette Cemetery in Lafayette, Sussex County, New Jersey.
