Garrett Evans Vanderhoff

Garrett was the first born son to John Wesley and Elizabeth Evangeline Henderson Vanderhoof. He was born in Logan County, Ohio, but was primarily raised in Talleyrand, Wilson County, Kansas. Garrett lived with the family until his marriage.

In 1908 Garrett married Sarah Elizabeth Bryant, daughter of Daniel C and Martha A Perdue Bryant, and the two had one son, Albert Howard.

According to census documents, Garrett worked as a farm laborer.

Though Garrett lived most of his life in Kansas, he and his wife were eventually buried in California. It can be assumed this is where his son Albert was living at the time of their deaths.

Garrett is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Los Angeles County, California with his wife and son.
