John W Bevans

John W was the second son born to Abraham and Elizabeth Loder Bevans. He was born and raised in Sandyston, Sussex, NJ.john lived in Sandyston with his family before relocating to Deerpark, Orange County, New York sometime after 1850.

John married Eliza Jane Westbrook in the late 1850s and they had two children; William S and Caroline "Carrie" who married David F Fay.

John worked as a merchant/grocer.

John died in 1866 at the young age of 34 and is buried with his wife at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Port Jervis, Orange County, New York.
