Gerrit Van Blarcom

Gerrit Van Blarcom was the third son and tenth child of Pieter Van Blarcom and his second wife Jacomyntje. He was born near Hackensack and baptized at the Dutch Reformed Church on November 2, 1707.

Gerrit married Hillegond Ackerman, daughter of David D. Ackerman and Gerrebreghje Romeyn. They had seven children; Anna (bap. 25 Dec 1735), David (born 10 Aug 1739), Gerrebreghje (bap. 13 Dec 1741), Gerrebreghje (bap. 6 Oct 1751), Albert (bap. 24 Mar 1754), Elizabeth (bap. 24 Sep 1758) and Samuel (bap. 22 Feb 1761).
