Sarah Ball was the fourth child and first daughter born to James Eli and Harriet Elizabeth Osmun Ball.

Sarah died at the age of 15 and is buried with her parents at Glen Dyberry Cemetery in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
